First time I visited Germany was in 2012, and Heidelberg was one of the city. It is a city mixed with tradition and comtemporary. Heidelberg university is Germany's oldest University.
I loved to walk in the old town, seeing all the historical architectures, visiting the casle on the hill. It was a enjoyable and peaceful visit.
